Philippe De Coster Chevalier Grand + Croix de Mérite F.A.R + C
Grand Maître
|
I have known, and worked with Roger Caro (Pierre Phoebus) from 1974 to 1992, until
he died January 16. Under his leadership, I became a bishop June 1974, later March
15, 1975, he nominated me Archbishop, and at the same day received the knighthood
along the traditional ritual to "arm" a knight, and became Chevalier Grand Croix de
Mérite, des Frères Aînés de la Rose + Croix, finding its off-spring among the Templars
of the Temple Church of Jerusalem during the historical Crusades. The title is the
equivalent of “Great Master”, the highest distinction after the Imperator. Roger Caro
(Pierre Phoebus), was the 58th and last Imperator, as another could not be chosen due
to the fact that he died before choosing a successor, also the Order had no longer 33
members, as some left and others died. (A 59th Imperator cannot be imagined, and is
an impostor if one (he or she) should come forth, and proclaim himself or herself as
such.) The Sovereign Order of the Elder Brothers of the Rose + Cross is now continued
by its Grand Masters, able to institute committees along its Book of Rules FAR + C,
authorised by Pope John XXII, and so is its Chivalry perpetuated.
